What led you to a career in the law?

I always loved to problem solve and speak in public, and with a liberal arts degree, the next logical step was a career in law.

How long have you been practicing, and what are some significant changes you’ve seen during your career?

I’ve been practicing for 15 years, and while issues constantly change in immigration law, the last two years have been especially busy. We deal with multiple federal agencies, and each of their policies have been evolving constantly over the past couple of years creating a new landscape for immigration practitioners around the country.

What is on the horizon that causes you concern or that you see as an opportunity?

The increased complexity and cost of what used to be very straightforward visa filings could serve as a barrier to those who would otherwise qualify for benefits. To help those facing challenges, we have a deep and very experienced bench of lawyers at Clark Hill who are constantly focused on how to create more effective and efficient representation for our clients, particularly in this climate.

What key piece of information or understanding do you hope every client has?

Every case is important, different, and unique, and we treat them as such. What works for one client may not work for another, so we tailor our approach and goals for each individual case to provide exemplary service and get the best outcome.
